By no knockback, I mean that it doesn't knockback enemies at all.
Instigate has the same effect as mass taunt, but only half the range, and is focused around the enemy rather than yourself.

So much info to diggest. C8 MB seems massive dmg for gunner skill mod standards but in practice that amount of expertise scares me. Also, Shot seems very appealing now. Time to hit the calculator.

speakin of mb, is there anythin special about zamiel's bullet? cause thats a hella lot of work just for an extra 4o mod compared to snipe, and snipe has a debuff effect too :x
also, the shot skills have absolutely terrible animation lock, unless they changed that up last patch too

It has the same range, incantation, CD, and knockback as the other ones.
I suppose it at least has a different CD than Arm Snipe?

another question: is Taunt type skill can be used on all mobs now (for example: Gaki in VB, mobs in Denshi Kairo, bosses in runs ...)? because we all know the taunt skill is one of the 3 negotiate skill, but it doesn't seem to be the case when many people test its contracting effect and it doesn't work.

Also..... "Dragon Sweep (Strong): 145 Mod, 32 AoE/32 Activation" ? A c7 spin skill is worse than c1? ....There's gotta be something else to it? Is it guaranteed to land slash hex now as opposed to having a chance of any hex? Did you switch its description with 3 step crescent moon?

I double checked them, but the stats are correct. I guess CAVE decided that frontal arc skills having a higher modifier was a good trade-off for the decreased AoE (or something silly like that)? Still 30% chance of any hex.

C2 Taunt does work on enemy-only mobs such as VB Gaki, which is a relief. However, C1 is still locked to only work on recruitable demons, so you'll have to train on the Suginami Hua Po or something if you're trying to raise it. The new taunt's range doesn't seem to be as big as mass taunt, and I'm not sure it applies the debuff that mass taunt does - I'm not noticing a damage boost between enemies I incite via normal taunt and enemies I use C2 taunt on. However I think that's an okay trade-off for counter builds as it frees up the slot one that would normally probably bea mass taunt set for technical damage/limit break set bonuses or even the new almighty boosting collab set. Obviously the downside is the two classes of expertise required, but that should be workable with the cap boost. I'd been requesting new counter gear and a way to get mass taunt in the surveys every month, so I'll take it! Also, sidenote: I'd never seen the C1 taunt skill's animation before and it is dorky as hell. Amazing.

finally, a fellow counter user. using a counter set just for mass taunt is a disadvantage so this patch sure balance many things out. but hopefully, not only the taunt skill, i wish they would make other counter boost SS other than heca SS so i could try many type of hybrid with it (don't really like doing rapid build just to max the output of the SS but hey, we got tokisada SS, which is nice). again, thanks for trying things out.

I guess dragon sweep strong did get buffed compared to what it used to be, but crescent sweep and 3 step went from being the worst skills in the expt to the best. Weird. .....Even so, it's not worth getting any spin expertise at all unless you get 3 step, given the existence of AOE attack....

At least we got Orobas tarots (+2 phys def & +5% counter damage) which are really nice. Tokisada is head SS though, right? It's a shame that you can't use it AND Heca, then. I hope they give us a melee version of Heca's SS eventually. Especially now that they've released a counter-boosting melee weapon (ORZ I just wish it didn't require 30 freaking FC plays to get since I'm not interested in the weird Kangaroo outfit... Blood Label S3 is still superior I think), it'd be nice to get a SS that gives the kind of boost for, say, attack or wk that Heca gives for rapid. Particularly now that there's a fighter weapon with counter boosts, it could pair nicely with the lord of fighters toggle improvements so melee counter builds could justify having attack or wk high enough to activate the SS.

so the rapid stacks got increased too. eraser is 6 stack, viper is 4 stack, bullet pit is 1o stack, qi shot is 8, and blast trigger is 7 stack the shot delay for em is the same though
also, whats the mod on the new rifle skill? testing myself puts it at ~3oo w/ the +3 vers, and from what i can see, its ~1oo range, 1os cdr and like 5s incant. its also line aoe w/ a width of like 2o?

According to my tests on the dmg calculator, the rifle skill dmg mod is of 160. I have no idea if upgrading the rifle affects this and I'm certain that I won't be able to test it myself. Further information would be very much appreciated.

EM Cannon: 160 Mod, 110 Range, Line AoE, 2 second incant, 12 second CD, inflicts power trace (?) ailment at 25% rate. Moon's Sleepy Circle: 110 Mod, 32 range, 0.6 second incant, 6 second CD, inflicts dream ailment at 25% rate.
Power Trace: Target is immobilized for 4 seconds, takes continuous damage (50), phys/mag defense decreases. Dream: Target is immobilized for 3 seconds, Critical defense is decreased, takes more damage from all attacks.
