I'll be honest, I played the EN version from 2007 until it's closed in 2014, I even tried getting on the japanese server 3 or 4 times I just couldn't do it. Soo instead of giving up completely, I also came up with the private server idea, the only thing is that I would do differently is that I don't want a global online server. I just want a "single player" like server, where I could check all the things I missed out. (I was a lv 90 LB/MB/Crit Gunner at that time if I remeber correctly, sadly I don't even remeber my exact class anymore xD) How hard would be to operate an offline server for your own fun? Any toughts on that guys? I'm curious

Any toughts on that guys? I'm curious First and foremost, unless you have connections and money (in general) there's no way of making a private server. Because the files on your computer are not "enough" to start a server. To start a private server you would need - A dedicated server with 8+ gigs of RAM and over 500+ gigs of hard drive space - A server administrator - A dev team to maintain the game/create new ideas/updates - The actual Japanese server files (including permission from CAVE/Atlus for copyrights and what not) - Translate all those files - Not to mention, you will need to be constantly updating the game when japan updates on their end - You would need some Ddos protection, just so hackers don't take your server offline - Bruteforce protection so no ones account gets compromised - A website to promote your private server - Also the best one of all, How will you get players to start all over? I doubt people who have 70+ lvl characters on the japanese server will join.

It's seems I was misunderstood...xDD I'd like to have an offline, OFFLINE (no internet connection needed) private (not public, private/home use) server, which I host from my pc just for myself soo that I can check everything and enjoy the story mode/main quests) I did the same with World of Warcraft long ago (because I wanted to have a Frostmaourne and I wanted to defeat the Lich King xDDD). Soo I don't need a big hardver for that I hosted it from my mini laptop, now I have 8G RAM, 1 T space AMD Quadcore soo hosting would be less than a problem

you still need the server files if you want an offline server or you can try to reverse engineering the folder itself

Well for a single player, you would still need to get the Japanese server files. To do that, well follow the breadcrumbs. Start with their website (if you really want one) and go from there. Unless you don't want to do all the hard work. Ps: The server game files are entwined with their website. *cough* *cough*

The only problem is that I was never good with reverse engineering 'n' stuff soo basically I'm a complete novice when it comes to things like this. That is a big issue for me right now, that was the main thing that led me to this forum in the first place Soo first off, how can I find those server files? and after that what do I need to do? what do I need to get/download in order to start makin' an offline server?

Hi there. I'm an old player from the US server, and also I have programming skills. So I'm willing to put some effort on the translation thing. Lets say that "I have time" to spend on it. I also have an idea to make the translation "community driven", i.e., having the community contribute to translations. Which would improve the quality of the translation.
Cheers

Hello all, i am a programmer looking to reverse engineer the client, however, I have deleted my installation files, does anyone have the installation files from atlus preferably. If not, the aeria version will suffice. Also, if there is a team being assembled for this please give me a heads up! Thanks in advance
