1. Change the (imho) asinine critical system to something more standard like 150% of normal damage. 2. Make expertise a lot less grindy and altering the expertise cap, eg. having it start on 3k but it increases with every level. 3. Add the ability to abandon quests (I've already got like 5 that I can't complete )

I would do quite a few things, some big and some small. 1. You can give your demons nicknames!
2. You can VA from bazaar, but only if the item is put in the bazaar under a new VA setting and you pay their VA price. Yes VA is just for aesthetics but from an MMO perspective you should still pay to look ballin'.
3. More of a mid game. I'm sure this will get changed one day, but as it stands the game seems like there is not much to do for newer players. It's either you're OP and you can blow everything up or you suck and you have to leech for a really long time until finally you can do something.
4. ALL gear drops from bosses, except some gimmicky sets that can stay CP purchase only. Megaten is a very poorly structured MMO. Literally the only way to get gear is to spend IRL on fortune cards and hope to get LUCKY and get some, or do Destiny and again get LUCKY. This part of the game is actually so bad, that if the game didn't have such cool demon mechanics and nice visuals I would have dropped it like a brick long, long ago.
5. Move Vivian to Cathedral, I hate having to walk all the way to Ichi Camp to apple someone up. Would also be nice to go through several rebirths at once during one incense by using apples and then immediately rebirthing since you're already in Cathedral.
6. SR only plug-ins made available non-SR ways, even if they are grind fests worse than Ishtar plug. Give me a chance Cave T_T
7. More movement speed gear!
Changes 4 and 6 would cause CAVE to lose a lot of revenue, and I acknowledge that. Here are my propositions to maintain the income of revenue so that these changes would be able to occur without Megaten becoming P2P:
1. New plug-ins introduced to SR for aesthetic demons that are just variants of pre-existing demons. Like a variant of Alice wearing a pink dress with a parasol without pale skin, or a dwarf wearing LotR themed armor made to look like Gimley, and many more that my uncreative mind can't think of. Also maybe event demon PG's to be purchased with SR cards like Nimble Alice/Pixie (with the respective intaglio) or Santa Frost.
2. Tons of Aesthetic armor sets introduced to FC's. Like party themed armor that fires off confetti or fireworks whenever you perform an action, or gives you a new ability to do so on command. To make you not need to sacrifice power for these new aesthetic features, they can be placed on a new S4 of armor that can be SI'd onto normal gears. S4 would be reserved exclusively for aesthetics purposes and would never have any real bonus.
3. Gimmick armor sets introduced to FC's. These should not really be good, but should be funny or fun to play with on occasion. Such as an armor set that would give you +1000 HP -90% damage reduction but render you unable to use abilities other than taunt or a new ability to throw a stone to attract agro. The set bonus would be to deal damage to attackers equal to damage you receive without the damage reduction.
4. Some normal Armor sets should just be purchasable straight up with CP, no FC or drops needed. These sets should not be too strong, and should mostly be an option for new players to buy to get themselves started. These sets should be like the sets of the winged dragon and etc.
Please note that the examples I have given are just examples, and that better examples can most certainly be produced by someone with more creative talent than myself.
If you actually read all that, congrats for making it through! I would like these changes based not on my own fantasies for the game but based on what would make it a better MMO, with a few fun things added. If anyone disagrees or has different ways of going about some of these things I'm open to discuss!

Same lol! The only songs I don't like are:
- Cathedral - Babel (for obvious reasons)
And... pretty much that's it, the rest of the soundtrack is awesome <3

I seem to recall that on the US servers there was an informal way of disabling the battle music by going into the files and deleting the two music files responsible. Back then they were called coc_battle and backfield_battle or something like that. It worked quite well with the out of battle music still playing even when you went into combat. Only issue is that you needed to delete the two files every time you used the updater. Not sure if the same method would still work now.
That Sugi music reminds me of the countless days I spent trying to determine the mechanisms behind that hidden room.

Charm effect should be like in the other Megaten games.
Charmed player/demon turns against the party, damaging allies and healing, buffing and supporting the enemy. (Actions would be dependent on the skills available at the hand.) Meaning that AI would take control of the player for the period of charm effect. Of course, charmed enemies could attack their allies and heal and buff the player or their demon.
Just Imagine how much more fun(and not fun) the game would be.

I'll try that as soon as I get home xD My fear was if the game would mute when I get in battle, when that file wasn't found I also didn't know the name of those files but... yeah I'll try it ty!

Faster walking speed and more fluid animations. The game was immensely fun when I played it, but I always felt the characters moved tediously slow and looked rather stiff. I don't particularly care about graphics but I'd like it if the game could play a little more smooth...
