Heya! I played SMT Imagine Online for years, so I'd love to do anything I can to get a private server up for any dedicated players to come back into the mix. I have a few programming friends, so I was wondering if you all were still looking for people to help with that. If so, I'll be sure to ask around and see if anyone is interested, and I'll keep you updated!
Thanks,
Rinoa

A private server sounds epic. With the custom content possibility you could be seeing a lot of popularity if the server works out. I'll be scouring the game from time to time trying to find people like Sigh, Nemisa or everyone from Alfredo online so do tell what maps, skills, items you need recorded. I'll help anyway i can as the game is well amazing.

I am also going to try to help. Pretty sure I have some useful stuff in my old pc in which i used to run Marvelous Imagine. Also i have some Art, 3D and a little bit of programing skill, Only problem might be time management with school and all, but if you need an extra hand i´ll try my best.

Hi! I heard before from one of the threads (or is it just me?) that there was an "offline" version of MT that worked. Is this true? And if it is, will there be any chance for me to get a copy of this "SMT Offline"?

Hey.
I used to play on the English server as CheezMouse. I have an account on JP server but haven't used it much. But still, I really don't want MegaTen to be lost forever... T_T
I don't know if I can be any help, I'm studying C++ and stuff at the moment at university... But I'd like to be involved and try and do what I can to help out ^_^

Well this might be fun to work with, I'll lend an assist if possible. I've not been as active but would be good to see what has been done.

Since i didn't see much of an answer while reading the first post of the thread i got curious. So considering the game is shutting down and with the game files and hopefully enough data to get a server up and running at 110% . Megaten alone is quite something of a game but with both the us and jp versions it hit somewhat of a chain of problems( talking from a player perspective) when it comes to running content, gearing up and putting up the finishing touches on your demon. I don't want to sound needy or insane but the most dedicated people handling the server probably have an idea of what could be improved to not only make the game stable but also most enjoyable for all.Sop i wonder how much would it be possible to change up the game, given the time and effort of course.

I will definitely follow this project !
I can help with 3D (low poly and uvmapping mostly) and why not new content (clothe, demon, gear, ... ) . I'm also highly interested in creating new maps, or improving the old ones !
Is there a dedicated forum, a twitter or something?

Hi, I'm new to the megaten series in general and I have good knowledge of c/c++! I hope I can finally play this with everyone!

Today I was making breakfast and a thought hit me to check up on the game and see how it's doing, further leading me to this thread. I am... honestly moved at how many people are offering to help; it's amazing! As corny as it sounds, Imagine is such a precious game to me, and it's such a waste to let it fade away into nothing... especially when us, as dedicated players, have the capacity to make our game shine with greatness, albeit through a lot of time and work. I can't offer to help; I'm simply not tech-savvy in the slightest, but you have my complete and utmost support. I've bookmarked the thread and will be watching it. I'd be happy to help fund server costs when that time eventually comes. I'd be so happy to immerse myself in that world once again. Time and care will be needed, but with organization, planning, and thorough testing, I feel that this happy idea can become fully realized. I will wait as long as necessary to be able to play with everyone again C:

Just made an account on this form to bookmark this. I played Imagine a long time ago, and recently decided to check on it's wearabouts, only to find it not only shut down in the west, but closing in Japan. I'm real glad to see that the community is trying to revive the game like so many other closed MMOs, and while I can't help (I only know Ruby) I wish the best of luck to all members of the team, and I look forward to what you will produce.

Hello everyone! I'm sorry for the lack of replies, but I have been busy with doing alot of recording for the project. Me and a few others have been covering alot of the instanced content since that is what the game has the most. I will say that we have covered a LARGE majority of it, but we are still far from over.
There's still a few things that we have to cover instance-wise before we say all the instance content is complete. But there are still alot of other stuff to complete afterwards. As form this post, we have about 33 days to cover everything.
The large reason the recordings are done is so that we can find out how the client gets the unique IDs that are within the server data when doing various actions (talking to NPCs, doing certain actions and using skills.) It's not very fun, but it is necessary.
The big things we have to cover again are:
Full map sweeps of the following areas:
Fields:
Suginami, Nakano, Shibuya, Shinagawa, Ichigaya, Ueno, Shinjuku (field), Ikebukuro (South), Ikebukuro (East)
Towns:
3rd Home (needs a redo in regards to what has been released), Shinjuku Babel (same case), Arcadia, Souhonzan, Protopia.
Full sweeps are basically wandering around the area, finding all the event triggers within them, enemies, as well as the NPCs. You don't have to speak to them when doing sweeps, because the *idea* is to merely get their location and IDs. Speaking comes when it's for events, quests, or moving to new areas.
I posted the recording materials earlier, be sure to use them, and send them to me when necessary.
I want to thank the people who have helped me with recording the content, it has been a MASSIVE help getting this done! When the instanced content is finally done, I think we can finally move on to the other content the game has, mainly the quests.
If you want to start recording quests, PLEASE let me know beforehand, because I will have to share instructions on how to do so properly!

Would love to help in anyway I can. Able to code lua and slowly learning self taught C++ for Source Engine modules. Used to help friends with networking and linux/windows server administration. So what is the recording for? Grabbing audio or quest text and data?
