Unfortunately I can't offer any help here, but this is an amazing project and I wish you all the best for it! This game means so much to so many people, myself included. I think I would enjoy even just having a chance to wander the maps and hang out in-game so setting up something with actual playable content would be fantastic.

I still have a old installation of the western smt imagine if needed. I can also help with testing if needed, learning tmap next (certification examination in about a month)

Long time no see, but I have been trying to get grips with NIF files and their massive sea of faces and control points with only having very basic modeling knowledge, but I have been able to figure out some really really basic re-texturing. Nothing too flashy but it's at least...something if we need new sets until I can get grips with .nif files?

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of communication. The big issue was trying to get a build that was 'feasible' that would be shown to the playerbase, showing that we have something to display with confidence. The problem is that we are still working on the bugs that came with the various updates that we were stuck with, so we do have more conflicts. The other issue is code cleaning; we have to clean the code so it will not be so heavily dependent on some of the tools we use. Yes, this is a recruitment thread to get some help, but we would like to provide some updates and news on occasion. When we do get something to show, I think you guys will like what we were able to do. Now as for getting the help: PROGRAMMING: Anyone who does have some knowledge of programming will be helping out with the content development, or if you really know your stuff, you can help with the core project itself. If you haven't posted an email, please do so, that way I can reach you. REMEMBER, this project will be rather C++ heavy so please keep that in mind when you want to help out. If you know anything about web development, you can help out with the site. It's HTML/CSS and PHP. Things might change with future plans. MODELING/ART/MUSIC: Anyone who does this will also be part of the content development. I think overall your team will be all part of the content developers. One of the things you can help make would be some of the demons that were not given 3D models. Sedna being one example. Some new sounds and music would be cool to have too! There are some demons that do not have sound files attached in the game, so I think that should be definitely fixed. FOR ANYONE ELSE: If you do not have any technical expertise, you can still help by gathering data. We have ALOT of ground to cover within these two months from this post (literally!), so any recordings of towns, field maps, dungeons, permanent events, quests, acts, actions, skills, item use, alterations, modifications, etc. would help out with our end goal of creating the project, maybe even expand it. I'm going to post the files here, just in case you were not aware of the spread that was on the megaten facebook group. It comes with some instructions, so PLEASE READ THEM! www.dropbox.com/s/nidvsr0snfp7nen/Tools.7z?dl=0Next post, I am going to work on a list of people in regards to who is in each group, I'll be back in a bit. Hello
I am a composer and sound engineer. I have a background in 2D graphic design and dabbled a bit in making 3D weapons & armor in Blender a couple years back. My coding is very limited (mostly HTML and a bit of languages) but I have always wanted a reason to learn C++ above all (I'll get right on that . I am willing to contribute in any way that I can, I have a flexible schedule. SMT is my favorite series and I very much want this project to succeed. You direct me and I will learn.
Email: valkarisimagine@gmail.com Skype: I don't currently have it, but will get it upon PM request

I have a lot of free time, but not sure if I have any skills that would prove useful. I have done some indie game development on a smaller scale, but nothing major, and I fear helping out with development with this would be beyond me. However if you eventually would need play testers, I know a thing or two about that, and that play testing requires more than just playing a game normally. Like doing certain things over and over in different ways to find and reproduce bugs. (my email is Pandaboy_@live.se )

I do hope that this gains some momentum. I haven't been as active with JP server in the past year, but I would love to see a private server that helps keep this game alive.

Has this made any progress? Wish I could help. I think the majority of effort is going into recording game sessions while the real servers are still up. If you have an account and want to help, that is one way you can do it

I'm looking to help as well. Recording game sessions or just trying to get the music from different areas in the game? I'm also interested in helping with the C++ since I have been learning how to code in my spare time. My skype is Riceball1984

I'm interested in this, how far has this progressed in the past few months? (Only reason I joined the forums just now to be honest)

I suspect the next update from the project owners will come after the server has closed and as much has been reecorded as possible. Until then, we must all wait, just like the NPCs who are about to become temporarily unemployed..

I'd love to help out any way I can, don't know how to do any of the technical stuff, but I've been severely hoping for a re-release of Imagine to the west and hearing the news that the JP server was also going down made a part of me die inside. I mean, even getting an offline build of it would be great.

Thumbs up for your initiative. I don't have any programming skills which could be helpful. But I gladly serve the coffees to keep you guys up all night so you can give me back my beloved game If you need any thing done that doesn't require technical knowledge, I'm available. Also available for testing, but I've noticed you guys already have plenty of those (probably more effective than me). No problem, I just want to be involved, I'll get coffees for everyone

You guys have managed to make it work and do some modifications It's great to see this! I know there must be a lot of work to do, but.. this is something!
