How positive and inspiring. I approve of this. Also, i've done a few speedruns in my time but that was AAAGES AGO. The important thing about doing speedruns is keeping the viewers interested, so usually popular games and platformers etc are usually the best bet. Its all good fun though especially when its for a good cause!

It's a great idea but I was never into speed runs much. Biggest problem is there's so many speedrun vids on youtube, how would you prove yours from the number out there already? Doing popular games is good though. I liked how extra life did theirs. Theirs was gaming round the clock for 24 hours with a few breaks as needed. I'd recomend action RPGs where lvl upping isn't the big req. Chrono Cross and the zelda series being two good examples.

they keep track of world records by people submitting video proof of their runs on speed demos archive. there are various speedrunning communities focused on certain games, too.
