Okay, I'm starting new here (I played for quite some time on the english servers 'till they closed [insert random rant at capitalism here])
Well, I'm melee, counter melee to be precise and I'm sort of overwhelmed with the new content and all. I already worked on my Expertise and now I'm trying to figure out my Equipment/Soulstone aims. So before I jump headfirst into everything there is. Are there any gearsets that are recommended for melees (pure melees+counter), mostly setbonuses interest me. I try to figure base stats and stuff out myself. I'm aiming to be Chaos-aligned btw, in case that makes a difference.
Another question would be: Are there any fast ways to get to lvl 90+?
I also might come back to this thread for questions later, once I actually installed the game and stuff(is the update supposed to be that long, or is my internet just slow?).

If you're going counter melee you should get hecatonchires SS which gives 300% counter damage which should be enough to deal 9999 with Strikeback World. As for set bonus either u stick with old school LB equips like SB or Vermilion Fox or White Wolf? (idk for male). then go with Idemu(License) Set for Accessories. or unless you want to spend 1B++ for those new LB sets and Technical Attack (TA) its really up to you. there's a lot of new equips soo you better check jp wiki. I suggest u plan your gears first so you won't fail like me

Yeah had that SS back in atlus days alrdy^^ That's exactly what I'm doing and I know there is a lot of new equipment, that's why I thought I might ask some players who know (some of) the sets first. What exactly is TA, if I may ask?

TA or called Technical Attack. Its a new type of damage that is separated from your total damage. Example you deal 30k LB damage if you have TA u can deal another 30k depending on your TA Power. TA Power has a fix boost. its like if you deal 30k LB damage and you have 100% TA power it deals 30k too, vice versa. so its like dealing 60k damage in one attack . There is another one from expertise called "Pursuit". TA Chance and TA Power relies on your gears Pursuit Chance relies on your stats Pursuit Damage relies on expertise and gears(rare) So if you have Pursuit + TA you can deal up to 80-90k Damage in one attack. I hope you get it because I'm not good at explaining things xD

So, what you're trying to say is: TA gives a chance to replicate any Attack I just did with a certain percentage(100% being an exact copy)? And pursuit is the same, just stat-/expertise-based? The explanation was quite good, but i guess that stuff is like extremely expensive xD Gonna try to get myself up to shape with a normal lb set first; prolly trying to get force or relief avatar

TA is really expensive , the gap between TA equipments and just LB itself is really high^^. so yea I recommend you sticking with those classic LB equips.

As for gear if your looking for LB stuff then obv the basic lb sets are great. If your looking for something a bit cheap in the mean time. Blue Leaders is nice. I believe its +2 counters and boost spin/counter damage. I can post SS later .
