With the implementation of the Ueno Mirage dungeon, CAVE added a daily repeatable quest with really high reward potential.
You'll need your DB License from Act 7 in order to accept the quest, that is the only true prerequisite. This quest can be done in all three levels of the dungeon, and since Bronze doesn't have a level limit, I recommend that most people start there. You can complete this quest five times per day, with the count resetting at 4AM Tokyo time.
I've made a video guide of the Silver version of this quest, so for anyone who finds video guides easier to follow than screenshots, here you go:
For everyone else, here is the basic process.
First, speak to the Gaian NPC in the lobby. You'll want to select his second conversation option. Assuming you have a free quest slot, you'll automatically accept the quest.
Note that if you are doing this quest in a party, EVERYONE IN THE RUN MUST HAVE THE QUEST ACCEPTED AND ACTIVE, otherwise the flies will not spawn and nobody will be able to complete the quest.
Basically, what he's asking you do to is eliminate the flies that spawn inside the run. The flies spawn in specific rooms, you can tell which ones because of their unique shape on the map. They're not particularly strong and can easily be taken out with Erosion Hex or Nervous Edge if you don't feel like having to target their tiny hitboxes.
Sometimes, after you clear a fly room, a Fallen Angel will spawn. Killing it/them will give you a random debuff (the star icon under your name) as well as a chance to loot that particular Fallen's gold jar. Unfortunately, I didn't have any luck with the jar drop while trying to SS, but I did get one in the video above if you're really curious about how it looks.
If you get the debuff and/or a jar, make sure to visit the blue flame pillar right before the transition to the boss room - clicking the pillar will remove your debuff, and if you have the jar and agree to give it to the pillar, the Fallen Angel who dropped it will appear in the boss floor to give a slight XP boost.
Once you clear the boss room, a red plasma will appear by the treasure chests. All you need to do is click the plasma - no connecting minigame - and you'll get a message telling you to report to the Gaian in the lobby.
Talk to him again, and he'll give you a random reward for each fly room that you/your party cleared.
The pool of available prizes varies from day to day:
SUNDAY: Ishtar of Fantasy PG, Bird's Spittle, Ten Commandments Tablets, Runestones of Change/Life/Protection
MONDAY: Cat's Footfall, The Bull SS, Runestones of Victory
TUESDAY: Oracle Mirror, The Water Bearer SS, Runestones of Secrets
WEDNESDAY: Cat's Footfall, The Fish SS, Runestones of Life
THURSDAY: Bird's Spittle, The Scorpion SS, Runestones of Change
FRIDAY: Tablet of the Ten Commandments, The Virgin SS, Runestones of Defense
SATURDAY: Ishtar of Fantasy PG, Oracle Mirror, Cat's Footfall, Runestones of Victory/Secrets/Life
ALL DAYS: Estoma Stone, Cracked Peridot, Cracked Turquoise, Nishikai Shards
* I say "Runestones" because you can get small, medium, or large runestone from this quest.
** Nishikai Shards are the pieces used to item mix various dungeon-related things like Ishtar's plugin item. There might be a better translation, but I'm just going with what Google's giving me, sorry!
Obviously, this is based in Tokyo timezone, so remember that when planning your runs.
Here are the fly room locations for each level of the run:
BRONZE - 3 FLY ROOMS
Second Floor:
SILVER - 4 FLY ROOMS
Second Floor:
Third Floor:
GOLD - 6 FLY ROOMS
Second Floor:
Third Floor:
Fourth Floor:
You get a 'chance' at the Gaian's rewards for every fly room cleared, so theoretically Gold is the best - however, IMO when you take into account how long (very) and challenging (punishingly so if you're unprepared) Ueno Gold is, I'd actually recommend sticking to Silver for farming this unless you're already doing Gold with a competent party for Ishtar plugin or something. Otherwise, Silver gives you the biggest bang for your buck at 4 fly rooms and thus 4 rewards without being too long; additionally, given the structure of Mirage runs, you can actually split up if your party is capable enough and clear the run relatively quickly. However, YMMV obviously.
I think that's pretty much it, it's a relatively simple quest with the possibility of big rewards! Let me know if you catch any errors or anything that I've left out, or if you have any questions. Sometimes I suck at explaining things, I know xD
