Concerning about the 'little conflict' on a thread that's been locked by the admin here, I would like to deliver my apology to the fellow players if there is still any hard feelings left. I might just have a bad day while coming across that thread for the first time. Well... that doesn't seem like a nice excuse but now I've come back to my sense anyway, and will try to make some contributions to the fellow players as the compensation.
Long before, I knew nothing and had nothing at all in this game, but there was always a nice person that helped and assisted me in doing stuff that I couldn't do alone. They gave me information, gave me gifts, helped me destroy some big-ass mob, anything. Now it's time to return the favor and contribute something to the fellow players.
So how? Particularly, my character is not strong enough to help you defeat some OP bosses, not prosperous enough to give you gifts, or not experienced enough to provide you legit information about the game. But there is something that at least I can do, and it has something to do with the 'compensation'.
Here's a little bit of background,
I have already memorized Katakana since elementary school, but that was just for fun. It was exactly when I was a big Naruto fan (I still am). If you played the games of which region is Japanese, you would notice that the names of every character were written in Katakana. Yup, Katakana characters are considered so 'masculine' that they fit the atmosphere in the Naruto series. Compare き and キ. Both are read 'ki'. You can tell the the firm one is Katakana.
I memorized by finding the similarity of the characters found in each names. For instance, the name ナルト (Naruto) has ナ like in ヒナタ (Hinata), so I concluded that ナ is read 'na'. With this basic method, I tried to guess that every name that has ナ, has 'na'! When I found the name ミナト, I tried to guess the other letters other than ナ that I knew. Then I realized it has ト like in ナルト(Naruto), so I could make up '--nato'. In the end, after gathering so many characters' visual forms in my brain, I could make out that ミ is read 'mi', which made me guess ミナト is Minato! Mission accomplished!
Learning Katakana this way was so challenging but fun. You can also do that with the names of our demons! Yes!! Conveniently they're all written in Katakana! The ヨ in ヨモツ(Yomotsu) is also found in ヨシツネ(Yoshitsune), and the list of example goes on.
Alright, about the contribution I was talking about, I'm open for consultation, 'enlightenment', or even a direct lesson request about Katakana for any fellow players who feel that they need to. I accept everyone. If I'm not preoccupied with something, I will respond to you all via in-game. You must add me(ign: リツキ) in your friend list first so that it will increase our 'togetherness' and mutual trust, or you can even reach me on Skype (I *cough* will not *cough* talk. I have *cough cough* flu). The username is on this profile.
Oh, you can also consult to me about Kanji, although I must say that I'm not really confident about it as I only know about 700 out of 5000 Kanji available to learn in Japanese. Please, pretty please, don't come and TELL me in-game just to ask for translation. If you could translate something yourself based on the lesson you learn from me, I would be 99999x happier.
Now if some of you think this is unnecessary, I will keep doing it anyway as it has always been my passion to help others in need.
Thank you for taking your time to to read. I hope my contribution can be made real with cooperation from all sides.
