Alright, so me and another one of my more MMO-savvy friends have been tackling starting IMAGINE together, for the most part. We've gotten a fair bit into the game, and we're both just about starting Act 19. But from the number of times we've tried to run Ichigaya Gold before, it seems like this is kind of the brick wall act to end all and we've both kinda run facefirst into it. I'm a level ~60 Enh/Mage hybrid who's dreadfully bad at skill grinding and she's a level ~70 MB/Rapid. She knows at least enough Japanese to get herself around, whereas I know just about nothing of Japanese and have never even played an MMO before and just do what she says most of the time. (mima being full "im playing SMT IMAGINE for the plot!" as usual) We both seem to understand expertise just fine, but beyond that we're kinda lost on the higher level stuff like Mitama fusion, equipment optimization and how to get good equipment in general aside from buying it from other users, all the general higher-level play stuff. It seems like we're at that awkward youth stage of SMT Imagine where there are loads of guides for level ~90 players and very early players, but very little in the way of helping us figure out what we're doing.
Also we've both been thinking of buying CP either way, but neither of us have any clue what would even be good if we bought anything with it. Any recommendations there?

You are just in time to read all those guides There's a lot of systems/content you need to know and apply to raise your damage and move beyond that wall
If you want I can add you on FB and link you to those guides or answer any questions you have, throw me a PM with your data

join a clan - i think thats the first step in smt. was running around like a headless chicken too before i found my old friends and got advise from my friends and clannies(infact im still bugging them daily on equipment advise), and i wasted alloooooooootttt of cp lottoing(Fortune card) for outdated items.
that being said, .... there's a really pro clothing set now on FC if you have 300 usd(3000cp) to risk, cant go wrong with that set. warning though.....i typically only get my items after 200usd (2000cp).
