•4• "Why is this person's name black?
It's simple. You blocked them. You can't see anything the person says, and they can't accept any of your offers on party list or trade list. Sometimes the name-blackening effect appears late, but the actual blacklisting takes place immediately.
To unblacklist someone:COMM menu -> ブラックリスト -> Select the name of the good guy - press the first button on the bottom.
Note: The blacklisted person will have no idea that they are blacklisted unless they realize that they're being nonchalantly ignored for an extended period of time.

•6• What Else Can I Do On DB-NET?
You can do A LOT here. First, try going to the actual website: secure.cave-online.jp
From there, you have access to ALL of the DB-NET features (in English, if you use a translator) such as:
Refer a Friend - Making an alt? Use this system to receive some extra goodies.
**IMPORTANT** There may or may not be an auto-ban system in place. Testimonies state that it activates upon making a fifth account with the same IP address.
Survey - Win free CP items by taking part in the weekly survey (Translator REQUIRED)
Options - Change a lot of setting. Make DB-NET blue! Or White! Or even Pink!
**IMPORTANT** Changed IP addresses? Can't log on ever since? You have safeguard turned on. If your IP changes, you have 24 hours from your first login attempt to come here, head to PROFILE, and turn off safeguard. If you fail to do so in time, you will be permanently banned.
Also, be sure to claim your level up presents!

•7• How do People Look Different From What They're Wearing?
Virtual Appearance (VA) is a feature where you can "mask" over your equipment with VA equipment that you have stored in your VA closet. This equipment does not supply any stats as it is purely for aesthetics.
You may start adding equipment to your VA closet with the use of VA chips (1 VA chip per piece of equipment). These are obtainable by:
Wimpy mode: CP (10 CP for 1, or a package of 6 for 50 CP)
Pro mode: Exchanging 15 Daily Mission Cards for 1 VA chip to an NPC by the south terminal in Shinjuku Babel.
*An interface tutorial would be quite lengthy, and would require images. All I can do is point you to the wiki at:

Yagigami is a male Yagiya who provides gifts and a status buff once every 20 hours to players as they complete their acts. He can be found in Virtual Battle, or in front of the Control Room in Shinjuku Babel. He gives each gift ONCE per character.
You unlock a new gift after clearing Acts 2, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 16.5, 18, and XX.

•3• Random Thoth in Home III and Babel
That random Thoth presents a new and easy way to raise expertise:
A new system allows the player to raise their expertise classes up to Class 5 MAX by passing Yagiya's Reports to NPC Thoth in Home III (20,23) or Babel (19,21). You may obtain said reports by turning in certain items (for example, any OOPTHs) at any cathedral Yagiya NPC, or at one of several standard-run Yagiya shops.
-Talk, Threaten, Taunt and Summon cannot be raised.
-Creation can only be raised up to Class 4.
-All Expertise that require a quest to unlock cannot be raised until the quest is completed.

•7• Vivian
In any dungeon lobby, and all cathedrals there is a Vivian NPC (green haired demon on a floaty rock). Initially talking to her she will give you a quest. Afterward she trades crystal apples for experience (player or demon), Devil Force chips, and items.
Note: The apples you trade in for experience are best used with incense. If you can swing using them with a 2015inc or higher, that would be the best.
Note 2: As fun as it is to boost yourself through levels when you first start out, it is highly reccomended you save the apples and LEARN the game as you level up. FINISH your build plans before level 79. It's ultimatly up to you but don't be shocked if you boost to 90 and are expected to know content.

Good news: Magnetite is now stackable. Like macca. Paper macca.
To create your own "Magnetite Presser", get a stack of 50,000 magnetite, take it to a cathedral Yagiya, and choose the second option "交換する".

•2• Yellow Snowflakes
The golden snowflakes are called "Fighting Spirit", and are to be traded with Saien in Shinjuku Docks. The cheapest prize costs 2 snowflakes, and the most expensive I believe is 3,000. Don't you dare to even consider using them as recovery items - they are ULTRA-rare!
It is said that they are a rare drop from any enemy up to 35 levels above or below your own. If an enemy seems to drop them at a good rate, you're just lucky and should try to keep it within the level drop range. If you start to strike a lot of gold, keep farming... You'll never get that lucky again.

•3• White Crystals... With Stats
Think of it like this: They're the souls of equipment. Seriously.
Most of the time, it's CP equipment. To use them, find a "Monorei Crystal", and then get a corresponding piece of equipment (ex. get a crystal for shoes, then get any old shoes from somewhere), and SI the crystal onto the shoes. The best part is, the crystals by default have a 100% SI success rate!
Note: The crystals only contain Slot 2 and Slot 3 properties, not the Slot 1 effects. Using SoulBreaker crystals will NOT give the Slot 1 +20% Limit Break chance effect!
Note 2: Seeing as they are effectively random pieces of gear, there are easily HUNDREDS of different Monorei. Since they vary so greatly, be sure to check each one individually to see if it's what you want!

•4• Demon Skill Computer Chip
Sadly, it does not teach your demon the move on the chip. However, it does provide significant bonuses to the skill if your demon has learned it.
To use the skill chip, just give it to your demon via Devil Force. If your demon knows the skill, it may receive several effects such as increased damage, increased loading stacks of the skill, or reduced cost for the skill.
Please refer to the wiki (Sesshou) for more details:
megaten.sesshou.com/wiki/index.php/Demon_Force_Items#Skill_Chip
*Note: Often, some skill chips are only temporarily offered as part of an event. After the event ends, the price tends to skyrocket.

•5• Demon Silhouette in a Little Ball
Devil Souls - closely related to skill chips mentioned above, except they do not apply to only a particular skill. Effects range from affinity/action damage boosts to summoner stat boosts to even limit break chance increases.
To use the devil soul, just give it to your demon via Devil Force. Effects take place immediately, and are permanent - as long as the demon remains summoned, and as long as the devil soul is not replaced via Devil Force.
Please refer to the wiki (Sesshou) for more details:

*Note: Devil Souls cannot be stacked. Only one of each Devil Soul can be applied at a time.

•6• Gold Apples
The golden apples are traded to the NPC Vivian (woman floating on water) who is outside of every run, and in the cathedrals. First you'll be given a quest to simply get 50 apples. After that, the real fun begins.
10 Apples: 100,000 XP for player or demon
100 Apples: 1,000,000 XP for player or demon
1,000 Apples: 10,000,000 XP for player or demon
Incense increases these values.
Bronze runs give the fewest apples, while gold runs can give thousands at a time. (It varies by dungeon.)
You can also trade the apples for exclusive modification materials, or exclusive devil force items... Or if you're ambitious, you can try to start working on upgrading an Avalon item with item mixing.
There is ALSO a downloadable tool to determine how many apples you'll need to get from X to Y:

Simply put, they are rewards you get for clearing a Daily Mission. You can get up to 3 per day. The first one is free. ---If the run is in this list:
Suginami Silver (orb)
Suginami Gold
Celu Silver (orb)
Celu Gold
Ichigaya Gold (4 Kings)
Distortion Floor
--- then it is NOT a useless item!
There are quests that use these items for expertise boosts. The quests require stacks of 50 of the items they ask for. That means you'll have hundreds of runs to do if you want to reach the ultimate cap. Don't you think you'd be better off saving up early?
On a side note, each of these items is worth 20 Yagiya reports each.

---If the items are from these dungeons
Ueno Mirage

--- then they are not useless either
Try item mixing with them. When you're supposed to select two items, instead click the little square in the bottom-left. You may have to memorize the name of the item for a few seconds, then from the first drop-down menu, choose your item and select filter. You will see EVERYTHING the item can create. The "useless items" from these three runs can be used to make things ranging from weapons and gear to even plugins.
Remember: If it seems useless initially, try item mixing it to see what you can make out of it.

•1• Daily Mission
You can enter a Daily Mission (DM) by default once per day (cool-down ends at server-wide reset), but this limit can be increased up to a maximum of three runs per day, per character.
To Access a DM:
--You must be in either Home III or Shinjuku Babel
--You must go to the back of a terminal (the side without the woman)
--Choose the third option
Generally, you'd want to stick to the 1st option for every choice EXCEPT the difficulty. Difficulty is based on the level you choose: 01, 30, 60, 80, 90, 95. Your character must also meet these level requirements to access higher difficulties.
The reward for clearing a DM is a relatively large XP amount (based on difficulty), and a DM card. Bigger parties also get more XP, so if possible, do not do these runs alone. DMs are also a good source of Digitalize XP.

•2• Dark Babel
Yes, Dark Babel permanent now, and it's accessible through the purple portal in Shinjuku field.
"But what can I do there at my level?"
One thing you can do is take those DM cards you got from the previous post and talk to the Yagiya at the terminal. The fourth option exchanges the DM cards for keys at a 1:3 ratio.
With these keys, join a party and talk to the Pyro Jack to the right of Alto-Vision. First option all the way. You will be transported to an elevator instance. Speak to the plasma, first option again, and you will be in a battle against an assortment of Frosts.
After the battle, you will receive 20 gems (100,000 macca), and possibly: a Frost Ace D-Soul, a Frost Ace crystal, a Frost Ace plugin, or a "Special Hee-Ho Belt" (appears as a Question Mark).
Using this method you can earn some macca every day.

•3• Destiny
The demon girl in the red outfit who appears in every city is Yagimiya. Talk to her (first options) to start a DESTINY run.
Beginner: You start with a 0/100 inventory. Your job is to repeatedly kill the mobs to try to fill the inventory to 100/100. At the end, you get to keep one item from the Destiny inventory at random.
Moderate: Your job is to kill every GROUP of mobs twice each to spawn Mitamas. You will get a 1-minute buff that ever-so-slightly increases the quality of the items the demons drop.
Advanced: Your job is to kill every group of mobs twice, kill the Mitamas, then kill every mob twice again, *within one minute*. This grants medal pieces that you can exchange with Yagimiya. Every 150 medal pieces can be exchanged for a silver Destiny medal. Up to 4 Silver medals can be used at once, for a total of 5 draws (5% chance of getting a particular item rather than 1%).

•4• Destiny (cont.)
Listed above are several strategies to go about the run, depending on skill level:
-When you're weak, simply reaching 100/100 is the priority.
-When you're stronger, Spawning the Mitamas becomes your goal.
-When you're on steroids, you want to profit from DESTINY as much as possible by drawing multiple items.
Also to note: Special spawns occur at the 3:00 and 1:00 mark. They disappear 20 seconds after spawning.
Jack Frost: Drops 10,000,000 macca
Black Frost: Drops 10,000,000 magnetite
King Frost: Drops 2 Bones of Ymir (100% SI rate)
Mou Ryou: Kill it in under 20 seconds or else you lose your inventory so far.
Will O Wisp: DO NOT kill it for 20 seconds to get 30 medal pieces.
ALSO,
After the run is over, be sure to get your stamp card reward for the day (options: 4, 3). There are 10 items total. After the 10th item, you start back at the beginning.

•5• Nakano Underground Ruins
Nakano has dungeons! This one is on the bottom-left of the map.
The Ruins are notorious for being the most complex standard runs in the game. Bronze, silver, and gold all have alternate paths that can affect how the run turns out.
What do you get for dealing with the complexities of the Underground ruins? Plugins. Each level run has at least one plugin up for grabs, and usually the chance for obtaining these plugins increases if you opt to take the alternate "enhanced" version of the run.

•6• Nakano Boundless Domain
Nakano has a tough dungeon! It's on the lower-right portion of the map.
Nakano Boundless Domain ("Boundless") is effectively the complete opposite of Wildcat - player only. And just like with wildcat, the benefit of doing this run is player boosts!
This dungeon is connected to the Life Chamber (upper-left portion of the map) in that the Life Chamber is where you must go to purchase buffs with the items received from Boundless.
As for the run itself, remember that the goal is to reach the center by have someone who has:
--1: (random attribute) over 50
--2: (random melee/gunner/mage expertise) class 4+
--3: a specific LNC
--4: (random item-creation expertise) class 2+
--5: Just clear the perimeter.
More people = more floors = more rewards

•7• Ueno Mirage
Ueno also has a Dungeon. It's located to the very east of the map.
Mirage is much more straight-forward than Nakano's dungeons... except for the first area. It's a maze. In higher difficulties, making a wrong turn in the maze leads to highly unfavorable situations. Since there are several possible layouts depending on certain factors, here's a link to a sort of cheat sheet:
megatenonline.wiki.fc2.com/wiki/魔階ウエノ砂幻陵
Many players prefer Mirage runs due to the silver run giving about as much SP as Suginami Gold (while Mirage Gold gives about triple), and the fact that the gold run can give 3,000 apples per run.
Many players DO NOT like Mirage Gold in particular because it requires two soloers, and many spawns have 5-digit HP values. You thought the little monkeys from Celu were tough? Celu is considered an easy run now... Just long and boring.

•8• Kagurazaka Cavern and Shinagawa Catacombs
Both of these areas have an added Gold run. Don't ask me why. Maybe it was supposed to be silver, but the developers got a bit too sadistic...
Anyway, the good thing about these runs is that you *can* beef it up to make everything tougher, but you don't *have* to. If you want, you can just go through the runs in a linear fashion like with Suginami Tunnels.
But for those who for some reason want to access the enhanced versions of these runs...

•9• Shinagawa Ice Cave
This run is located to the east of Shinagawa. To enter, you must respond correctly to the Messians (infinite chances).
To buy a "plate" (invisible) you must speak to the Yagiya, and select the new option that appears. After a speech, he charges you. The cost is lower the closer you are to Law.
The run is timed. You do NOT have to clear the outside areas, only the rooms. After a room is cleared, two paths open:
Left - Exit the run
Right - Go Deeper
For the rooms on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors, before anything else, you must run to the Norn on the far end. She will cast a random buff/debuff (including freezing, locking your COMP, and unsummoning your demon). After she's gone, the spawns will be vulnerable.
After the run is clear, interact with the glowing pillars for additional rewards, which may include Runestones, a PG, or a plugin.
More people = more draws.
*This run is affected by New Moon

•10• Zoshigaya Cemetery
Zoshigaya Cemetery is a big open world zone with entrance situated right in the northernmost corner of Ikebukuro South with an exit leading into Ichigaya.
It requires nothing to enter, however one has to finish the New World quest to gain entry into Ikebukuro which requires class C DB license to start.
Players are advised to not enter the dungeon unless properly prepared, enemies are well above gold dungeon level sporting a couple of thousands HP each and a fast respawn rate that can result in weaker characters ending up obliterated as they may be caught off guard while fighting by mobs that had already respawned while the player tries to defeat the rest.
Many of the special demons found within the zone are powerful and use unique skills such as Curse Grudge, Erosion Hex and Delay Hex.
Basically, this area exists for a few quests, plugins, and rare drop chances.

•1• Digitalize
Digitalize is a state of fusion of player and demon to boost stats. This means the demon's stats play a large role.
To acquire Digitalize: Talk to NPC Shiho and either pay her 10 Magnetite pressers (Novice), or complete one of her Mitama fusion quests (Artisan). Novice can only be raised to level 5, while Artisan can go to level 10.
**Note that you can initially only use tier 1 demons for Digitalize.
To raise Digitalize levels (DLv), You must do these runs while digitalized:
Shiho's Lab
Daily Mission
Comp-Hack Kappa - Hard mode
Bearcat
There is a 3-hour default cool-down period after using Digitalize. This can be decreased, as explained later, but it can also be completely reset by paying either 10 magnetite pressers or 1 pure magnetite to Shiho while having the target demon summoned.

•2• Digitalize (cont.)
To raise DLv, you must get Digitalize points (DP).
By raising your DLv, you can use higher tier demons, gain Digitalize boosts, and even gain boosts outside of digitalize.
**IMPORTANT NOTE
Some races of demons are unlocked, but offer no tier 1 demons to start off with. If you switch to the second tab, you will find demon-specific requirements.
An example can be found under the Fiend race: Levels 1-10 have no demons to unlock. By switching tabs, you can see that the demons themselves need to be unlocked by reaching certain DLvs in other races.
Why this sucks:
Again, under Fiends, almost all of them require a Fiend DLv that is greater than 1, but you cannot raise the DLv over 1 without having an unlocked demon. This means, unless you have the Fiend David who only requires Fiend DLv 1 and Brutes DLv6, you will NEVER be able to increase the DLv of Fiends.

•6• Tarot Cards
Simply put, they've been buffed quite a bit.
Before they used to go up to 5. Now they go up to 14. They're called King Tarots ("King of ___") and they all give +10 to an attribute, +10 luck, and +10% effect.
Also, those tarots you may or may not have seen that have no stats at all... They're called Tarot Card: Transformation. They increase the level of a tarot by 1. So a V of Cups becomes a VI of Cups, and so on.
Keep an eye out for tarots.

•1• Mitama Fusion
Mitama Fusion is a new feature with which demons can be made even stronger.
Requirements: At least 48 rebirths, and a Mitama
First and foremost, the Mitama you fuse a demon with determines what initial stat bonuses the demon gets:
Aramitama: Strength, Vitality, Speed
Nigimitama: Magic, Intelligence, Luck
Kushimitama: Speed, Intelligence, Magic
Sakimitama: Luck, Vitality, Strength
After Mitama-fusion, demons acquire 40% XP, so they're a bit tougher to level up.
You can tell whether a player's demon is Mitama-fused by the color of the demon's name. Mitama demons appear to have an orange name.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Not all demons can be Mitama-fused. Typically this applies only to very specific variants, including deformed demons.

•2• Mitama Fusion (cont.)
There are three things that make Mitama Fusion so desirable.
1. Mitama Features.
These are "evolved" demon features which either modify a previous feature, or is added to the previous features. Generally, Mitama features focus on a demon's innate aptitude, and gives bonuses toward it.
Example: Ares gets +50 Critical, +50% Slash, and +50% Blunt. For a Melee demon, this is very beneficial.
There are exceptions though. Inexperienced demons just get a bigger XP boost. Always. This makes inexperienced demons rather undesirable for Mitama-fusion. A more beneficial exception would be Cerberus who gets the feature Null all magic at Lv * 1%.
2. More Rebirths.
After the initial Mitama-fusion, the demon's rebirths are reset to 0. So on top of the stat buff from the Mitama, you can increase its stats even more through another round of rebirths. It is important to do this step for the third benefit.

•5• Notes on Mitama Bonuses
Raising the chain expertise "Mitama Growth Science" to Class 7 increases many of the bonuses to about 2x the effect.
The Movement Speed boost does NOT go away during battle.
**IMPORTANT NOTE**
Mitama bonuses require Mitama slots. The amount of Mitama slots you have is determined during the first Mitama fusion by this formula:
(Total # of current rebirths)/4
This means if you have 48 rebirths, you will be able to use up to 12 of each Mitama for bonuses. Looking at the above charts, that will not get you very many bonuses, especially if you invest in Wyrd or Sigel.
A full rank 8 demon will have significantly more Mitama slots, and therefore be able to gain more Mitama bonuses.
Choose carefully as to when you want to Mitama-fuse.
Also, to use a Mitama for bonuses requires 1 post-Mitama rebirth slot. To get HP+120 from Sigel first requires reaching Rank 8 Sigel, then applying 4 Ara Mitama, and 4 Nigi Mitama.

•8• Demon Equipment
Demons can wear things now. Yay.
Demon equipment is also called Epitaph Parts. They look somewhat like runestones, but they're usually some shade of gray.
To use them, Open the demon's info, click on the Features tab, and drag the Epitaph to one of the demon's feature boxes that does not contain an X. Demons cannot wear Epitaphs in the boxes with an X. The feature where the Epitaph was placed will be overwritten (temporarily) with the Epitaph's effects.
Your demon will also be automatically Locked, and cannot be unlocked until the Epitaph is removed.
Additionally, your demon's icon will have a tiny target box. This shows that the demon is wearing an Epitaph.
*Many, if not most Epitaphs are CP goods.

•9• Wildcat and Demon Sacrifice Skills
Many new skills were added to the Japanese Imagine server. The most popular of these include skills such as Spell-based spins, more Almighty skills (yes, there is also a spell-based almighty spin), and passive skills.
Sacrifice skills are very specific skills that require a demon that knows some even more specific skills, is level 90+, and that you are willing to lose forever. The lost demon's component skills are turned into a Sacrifice Skill item that you can teach to a demon if it meets certain requirements.
**Note: A demon's inheritance can prevent it from learning certain skills.

•5• Another Door / Suginami Tunnels BEARCAT Survey (Bearcat)
Bearcat introduces another method of gaining Digitalize XP. The Run is almost exactly a typical Suginami/Celu bronze run...
Except everything is about 100x stronger...
And you do 1/100th your usual damage...
And everything has 10x as much HP as usual...
And everything has the base stats and features of an all-rank-8 Mitama-fused variant...
And you need to digitalize to be able to hit anything...
Thankfully, the run ignores all cool-down and duration limits.
There are some special spawns in a few of the side rooms as well that give more DP than the standard mob spawns.

•1• Resist the Urge to Power-Level
Think of it like this: Your level represents how much you know about the game.
People are generally less tolerant of high-level players (especially strong high-level players) who have no idea how to do a run that even weak players can solo.
Leveling up slowly will give you a chance to go on runs while they're still challenging and fun.
Another benefit is that you will learn about the game no matter what level you are. You'll learn for example (before investing millions of macca) how to tell the difference between player and demon gear.
Once you're at a high level, you'll be expected to know what things are, or how to find out on your own what things are.
Just take your time and enjoy the game.

•2• Work on Learning Some Japanese
At the absolute very least, try to work on learning Katakana/Hiragana. Simply learning the alphabet will make you much more independent when doing things:
You will be able to get a general idea of what many items do.
You will know what kinds of gear you should look for in shops.
You'll better understand how events work without waiting for someone else to tell you a week later.
Yes, you WILL make MANY errors, but you WILL eventually get it right.
If you're at all ambitious, you can even try learning a little conversational Japanese so you can join Japanese parties.

•3• Research
What class you will be,
What demons you'll use,
What skills you want,
What items you'll need,
What runs you'll have to do,
What set bonuses to keep,
How long it will all take...
Though there's plenty of room for experimentation, the sooner you decide what you want and how you're going to get it is the better off you'll be.
It's fine to be indecisive, and again there's plenty of room for experimentation, but it's all up to you to research and decide.

Try item mixing with them. When you're supposed to select two items, instead click the little square in the bottom-left. You may have to memorize the name of the item for a few seconds, then from the first drop-down menu, choose your item and select filter. You will see EVERYTHING the item can create.

De-SIing is exactly what it says on the tin: undo an SI. It costs Kreuz and Soil of Ymir. If it fails, the DE-SI still works, but everything's maximum durability drops to 40%. (This can be undone with Repair Kits/Tools).
De-SI'd equipment loses all modifications to S1 (durability drops) and S2 (mods, SS, tarots).
