If for any reason you must wonder why isn't this post in the Advice section, it's because I am going to englobate both an introduction and questions related to the game. However, you're free to change the location of the post, if you find the reasonment not enough.
Greetings. I am a spanish fellow known as Hoakin. I played Shin Megami Tensei: IMAGINE for a while before the servers got shut down, though I am not familiar with it's mechanics, and am currently playing Persona games. Some stuff about me: If I were to decide which Major Tarot card would I embody, I'd say it's The Hermit IX, based off it's description on Persona games, for personal reasons... And while it also includes my passion for staying recluded in my room playing vidyagames, I also try to find out answers to everything on myself. It is exhausting, but I don't want to think I'm meant for nothing.
I consider myself a casual player when it comes to gaming, for I can't dedicate full time to every MMO and every game I'm focused on. Though I would like to know stuff about the japanese servers of SMT: Imagine, for, what can I say? I just would love to play again, if possible. If there's something I didn't like about the now shut down servers, is the fixed and unevolving community, which basically forced me to be alone even with a guild to talk to.
I have no problems downloading, registering, and I can always have a japanese characters traduction tool by the side, though I would like to know stuff such as...
-The behavior of the community. It is well known that JPs do not take a liking to us western fellows (Or at least, the vast majority; in PSO2 I did meet magnificient women/People RPing as women), but rather, I would like to know if a casual newbie would be totally welcome, both socially and content-wise, given the age and evolution of the game, as long as no such thing as "I want someone to traduct everything for me pls" or "free stuff pls" is said, for example.
-I generally like to set myself on the skin of my characters. I do not enjoy being a warrior with a huge sword, when in reality, my strength is that of a bit below average. However I am quite fond of my reaction reflexes (Which have saved my life in at least one ocassion), eye/hand coordination, expression, and my fondness for being useful. That being said, if I were to play, I would enjoy doing it as something that resembles a Dungeon&Dragons 3.5 bard with high Dexterity. Talking in SMT terms, I guess it would be ranged attacks along with support spells, correct me if I'm wrong.
-Whenever choices of good/evil are shown, I generally go for the good ones (Unless it evolves some extremism, in which case I prefer to stay neutral, or choose the evil option if it's going for the greater good and will only do minor damage that can be easily repaired). Based on this, I would like to play the main story going by Law/Neutral allignments. The only thing, is that I do not remember if Law allignment involved some kind of extremism, or instead, is based off the living being's rights and freedom. I do not want to start a religious discussion here, is just how I enjoy the games.
If anyone would please clarify this all for me, it'd be quite the favor you'd do to me, in order to re-enter IMAGINE or not.
Thank you very much for your support and help.
