Well, someone in the shoutbox was asking if there were any guides to the current event and I figured I'd go ahead and post some general stuff, even if it's a bit late.
Halloween Event (9/30 - 11/11)
This event adds two new instanced areas, but only one of these will be sticking around after Halloween.
Part 1: The Live Hall
This area can be accessed by speaking to the Nekomata NPC in Shibuya at 19,15. This will allow you to enter a Halloween-skinned Celu Tower boss stage with two NPCs inside. The Pyro Jack NPC will give you a quest that will a) unlock his shop and b) get you a David summon PG.
To do Pyro Jack's quest, you will need to speak with NPCs in this order (report to Pyro Jack after speaking with each, most will teleport you back to him):
1) Sarasvati (Suginami 14,19)
2) Trumpeter (Protopia 18,17)
3) Daisoujou (Ueno 19,16)
4) Kurama Tengu (Nakano 24,18)
After you report back from Kurama Tengu, you will need to visit DB Senko's Hack in Babel and fight David. After doing this, report back and you will receive your PG and get to watch a music video of Pyro Jack's band any time you like.
The other NPC in the Live instance, Lilim, will buy items from you and will sell a gun shaped like a megaphone and a one-handed sword shaped like a glowstick (both of these are non-trade and only being sold for CP). These weapons are the only weapons that allow you to hit higher than 1 on the mobs in the instance. This instance is not required for the event, but if you are looking for a place to farm and get one of these weapons, it can be useful.
The mobs inside the boss room can drop demon cards, magnetite, pre-intaglios, and weapons (these weapons have relatively good NPC prices). The Take-Mikazuchi boss can rarely drop magnetite pressers and a pot that will open into a random r8/9 rebirth relic. These mobs will respawn constantly and leaving the room through the door is possible. You can exchange magnetite for pressers and most of the demon cards that drop with the Pyro Jack in the instance lobby. The cards that you can't: Yama and Jack the Ripper are used in other places. Yama, if turned in with Mezuki and Gozuki cards at the card collector near the Central Control room in Babel gets you 5 Umbilical Boxes. Jack the Ripper can either be turned in to the Jack Frost in Home 3 for a random card (Most Denshi Kairo floor cards, Valuable Card, or Jack Frost Card) or paired with Jack Frost and Pyro Jack cards to get either the PVP XP or Expertise inc from a card maniac (depending on which maniac you turn it in to).
The Pyro Jack's shop that opens up offers a few items for exchange for magnetite pressers as well:
Ecstatically Dancing Skeleton Doll - 1 presser (This is used with DB Senko's Hack)
Halloween Surprise Box - 2 pressers (Random box that gives prizes from older Halloween events, including the apple earrings, Halloween Intaglio, Earl/Witchy Sets, Colored Pyro Hats, summon PGs for all three Halloween Pyro Jacks and a special Alp with technician, the Trick/Treat epitaphs)
Part 2: DB Senko's Hacked Chip Instance
This is the part of the content that will remain after the Halloween event. To enter, you need to get a hacked chip kappa from the Poltergeist outside of the Ichigaya exit for three magnetite pressers each. Once you have this, you can access the Hacked Chip instance at DB Senko at 25,20 in Shinjuku Babel. Try to buff before you enter and have the demon you want to use out, as once you enter, you will no longer be able to change your summoned demon and you will be inflicted with the Bubonic Plague status. This will gradually reduce both your HP and MP.
The first wave of the instance is always the same, just killing Loa, Turdak, and Chatterskulls. After they've been defeated, a red plasma will appear. This allows you to choose the difficulty level and use the Skeleton Doll if you have it. Skeleton Dolls change the boss and give a very small increased chance to spawn David, as well as increased rewards. Be advised that as per usual, the difference between the easy and hard modes is relatively large.
The second wave can be one of three things: Tokisada with Yomotsu Ikusa will spawn normally, Alice with Pixie will spawn normally if the Skeleton Doll is used, and David with Matador is a rare spawn in either case. In order to do significantly more damage to the boss, you should kill all of the mobs first.
Killing the boss will spawn endchests that give Madness Programs, with an amount determined by the boss and difficulty level. These can be turned in to the Poltergeist for items. If David spawns, it is possible to receive essences of yetzirah as well. In Hard mode, regardless of boss, if you activate digitalize before interacting with the endchest, you will receive a small amount of digitalize points.
Aki Akane Event (9/30 - 11/11)
This is a collaboration event with the singer/utaite and artist, Aki Akane (if you'd like to see some of her work, she has a youtube channel here). During the course of the event, any mobs over level 30 have a chance of dropping Richly Colored Dragonflies. You can turn these in to the NPCs Takeshi (Home 3 21,21) or Hazuki (Shinjuku Babel 21,18) for items or summon PGs. Wearing the alpha or normal versions of the costume from the AkiAkane FC will also allow you to get a 20% discount on these items.
The summon PGs are for richly colored variant demons (Kodama, Mithra, Jack Frost, Barong, Slime, Flauros). These have their normal features replaced with features that give them +30% affinity boost for each of the four elements, +25% chance to drain said affinity, -20% almighty affinity damage, and +5% MP cost for almighty affinity. After mitama, the 30% boost becomes a 40% boost.
tl;dr, I know it's late, but hey, maybe it'll help answer some questions.
