Hello, I was a player on the Western server of Megaten IMAGINE Online and I was curious to know what is different about the JP server in terms of overall gameplay compared to the western server. I remember how hard it was to level up, work on expertise, do a bunch of quests that were somewhat difficult albeit enjoyable cut-scenes. Farming money, getting decent equipment, making friends, which of course, are very normal in an MMORPG.
So I want to know, from veterans from the Western server as well as current players, how hard is it to do the things that I have listed? Is it worth returning? I got to a pretty high level, and im somewhat juxtaposed between returning, or just forgetting about the game and the commitment to re-do everything I spent a while cultivating.
I hope to hear from many people. I'm also new to the forum. Please respond as soon as possible or whenever convenient. Thanks a lot.

Leveling characters and demons is much easier, the other stuff on the other hand is just the same.

Thanks for replying. When you say leveling up, do you mean just levels, or expertise as well?

Just levels, expertise is pretty much the same.

Leveling is much easier, expertise is roughly the same, we still have Bacchus for under 21 free boosts. There are more expertises to choose from, though, and a few we had have been expanded. There are also more Acts, many more quests, more ways to expand the expertise cap, more demons and stuff. Just, much more to actually do. Can't abuse Shout chat like we did, I many just stick to Tell, Party, and Clan. Aside from having many more ways to have fun, it's pretty much the same. Oh, and they frequently have some kind of event. Log in campaigns, special runs, etc. Much more often than we did on our server. Welcome back to the game.

Cool, thanks a lot for the replies. By the way, what's wrong with shout? Is it disabled or something?

I just started on the JP server 2 days ago and yes, already finding much more to do already as a lowbie. Destiny is actually really good as a new starter, leveling is much faster.
As far as the shout chat goes i think it's just considered impolite/maybe rude here to use it as a general chat.

Yes, they see it as rude if you spam the shout / say chats.. mostly in places such as babel and other main towns. Though I NEVER see anyone use shout anywhere else.

Also, what about money making? I dont think anyone said anything about that yet, took a while to get a decent amount of money to buy items and equipment. I heard from a megaten player that farming gems is an option, are there any others that I may over look or miss?

Gems is pretty much your main money option at the beginning. Broken gems are dropped more often and you'll find whole gems in treasure boxes. All gems sell for 5000 each in shops. Celu is still a great option for Gems. Not really different from making money on our server. And yes, using the Shout/Say chat is just considered rude. It's a different culture over there, not just a different language, and we need to observe and respect that.
