Well that's a relief, but I still need a break. I wonder how long I'll be frozen for... it says they can't give a clear time.

Well I'm still out after a two week period. However, I haven't been actively pursuing getting my accounts back. Kinda feel like I shouldn't... I came here to motivate me to learn Japanese - and that has been successful. However, it is so much easier to focus on studying it when I don't have a time sink sitting on my desktop .

Hi Phazon, I think I've had that error and it usually goes away when I try logging in again... Hope that helps ^^

From the page luzt linked, expand the second Q and click the FAQ button that appears - the right-hand button on the page that loads will allow you to fill out a support ticket directly about the frozen account issue, without having to log in. However, for those who have been IP banned, it does go through the secure site so you'll have to use a proxy of some sort to complete the process. Worth noting that they say they will only support in Japanese, and to please refrain from using half-width kana or special symbols. If you do this, make sure you whitelist "noreply@megatenonline.com" - that is the email that any replies to a support ticket will come from, and it will come to the email you enter on the contact form when you file your ticket. I know that I had to whitelist all their various email accounts because my gmail acct seems to believe they're spam for some reason. I think because I normally don't get any emails in Japanese, it automatically trips as suspicious to the spam filter, I dunno. I meant to post this earlier but I totally got distracted and forgot, sorry :S

I did try that 5 days ago, used a japanese vpn though I wasn't IP banned. I only got a confirmation mail right after I sent it containing this sentence:
なお、運営事務局からの返信が日にちを置かれましても 届かない場合には、再度お問い合わせ窓口よりご連絡をお願いします。
Google says:
It should be noted that the reply from the Secretariat even been placed the day If you do not receive, please contact us from the Contact Center again.
Does that mean if you didn't get a reply on the same day you have to send it again?

Sorry to hear about what happened to your accounts, Sesshou. Thanks for bringing it to attention here.
I'm not sure how these bans work, but isn't it possible to go around them by masking your IP address? On a new account, of course.
Worst case scenario, I'm pretty sure that if you found a new ISP, the issue would resolve itself... but I'm not sure if you'd want to go that far just to keep playing (and having to start over)!

Yeah, I even have my very own Japanese IP I can use. Doing over will be a big time-sink however, one that I'm not prepared to spend just yet with other irl stuff I got going on. I might attempt it once I have more Japanese under my belt (when I have some chance of roleplaying as a Jp player). Though I've only learned 200 of the jouyou kanji so far... so it will be a few months yet.

That's interesting. Is roleplay a thing amongst Japanese players?
Roleplay's probably my favourite thing but I never thought MMOs were a very conducive platform for it. Then again, never really tried... The thought crossed my mind in SMT because the setting's interesting, but ultimately I don't see how it'd work with the gameplay mechanics that are in place.

I found this on the wiki, is it about the wiki alone or the cave account? (google translated)
