does anyone know a good way to translate? tried google chrome and google translate app on android to scan picture to translate yet it return gibberish word... thanks As a last resort you can use an OCR program/site/app like you mentioned, but honestly I find it simpler/more reliable to simply navigate the Japanese wiki and match/compare text. If you have a basic idea of what you're looking at (quest, consumable, demon, gear, etc) you can go to the appropriate page on the wiki and usually figure things out from there based on context clues like the quest-giver/location, what the item does, item stats, item appearance, etc. Their wiki is really well-organized and well-maintaned, so it's not too hard to navigate with a translation extension in your browser. Chrome's auto-translate extension can be silly sometimes (the way it tries to turn the phonetic demon names into actual words is adorable/hilarious), but it's generally understandable even for people like myself who came into this not knowing a lick of Japanese. There's also the English wiki, which has some Japanese translations for a few things like quest names and Episode conversation choices. There are also lots of guides to new systems and demons there, and a lot of the other questions I've seen you ask (such as identifying skill icons) can be solved easily at our wiki. CAVE themselves have also been making things easier on us by replacing solely text-based menus with graphical interfaces over the past year-ish, so things like SP exchange and event vendors are easy to use once you know the icon/item you want. Another useful link on this very forum: Japanese for people who don't know JapaneseThe Guides/FAQ subforum has a lot of guides and help as well. Sorry, I know you were probably hoping for a secret trick or magical app or something easier, but beyond "learn Japanese" it really comes down to just having to figure things out with context. It gets easier the more you do it, and you'll probably find that you'll absorb some basic things like location names, katakana (working on your demonic compendium is actually really helpful for this), affinities, etc just from seeing them all the time while playing. If you still find yourself 100% stumped, of course you can ask people, but with the exception of the few English players who are also fluent in Japanese (and thus bombarded with tons of questions/requests daily, so imo it's polite to try and figure things out on your own first before bothering them) most of us are just doing our best to figure things out using the resources mentioned above. It's not as overwhelming as it first seems, so good luck!
